‘A Trip to the Moon’ proved to be a very popular attraction during the Electric Picnic festival last weekend. This installation was a collaborative project between myself and the participants from EVE Estuary.
Throughout the three day festival I witnessed a steady flow of people queuing up to get their photograph taken whilst sitting on our moon.
Below are a few examples of some of these pictures. I found them through Instagram and Facebook. They look great and we are thrilled that so many people liked and engaged with our work.
The added support structure, which we attached to our piece after it fell over and broke at the ‘Body and Soul Festival’ in June, worked out really well. The moon has now been returned to the art room, fully intact and as lovely as ever.
My team and I had a great time checking out all of the other amazing artworks and stages that were on display down at Electric Picnic.
Check out EVE Estuary’s blogpost about this event.
We have been inspired can’t wait to get started on our next project.
