Kilcullen River Festival 2014

I was thrilled to play a part in this years Kilcullen River Festival. The festival has been growing from strength to strength over the last few years and is truly a testament to the community spirit and drive, that the people of Kilcullen possess.

I had two artworks on display during the festivities. The first piece was my vintage style crescent moon titled ‘To the Moon & Back’. It was on display in Fallons function room. I love this room, it has great high ceilings and the stone walls mixed with antique mirrors and heavy velvet curtains give an air of theatre to the space.

People were invited to pop in and get their photograph taken on the moon. Here are a few examples of some of the pictures that I took on the day.  My favourite has to be of my niece Eibhleann (the teddy bear) taking her first trip to the moon.

I absolutely love the article ‘Art angel on a mission to bring art to the masses’  that featured in the Sunday Independent.  I would also like to thank Brian Byrne for his article in the Kildare Nationalist today and on his blog.
